Iain Hume is ready to go, and re-start his Oakwell career in the pre-season.
Iain Hume has declared himself fit for pre-season training and is hoping to continue his Barnsley playing career.
Hume missed out with a injury-hit 2008/09 campaign, with the terrible head injury keeping him out of action for much of the season.
A fractured skull suffered on the elbow of Sheffields Chris Morgan on 8th November required surgery and lengthy rehabilitation.
Seven months later the Canadian has been given the all-clear by medical staff, and Hume says he is now raring to go.
"As soon as pre-season starts I am back in my eyes and hopefully in the gaffer's," he told Barnsley's official website .
"There's no point me doing pre-season if I am not doing it to be involved in the first game.
"You will see a completely different Iain Hume around the place as soon as I get to put that Barnsley shirt on again.
"I have a lot to prove to people who have given me their amazing support."
