Burnley 1 - Barnsley 2

MATCH PREVIEW :
The next clash for Barnsley FC is the boxing day game away at Burnley. Following the rip-roaring victory against high flyers Burnley at Oakwell, you would expect the reds to go to Turf moor and rattle a few feathers.. again.
The success against Plymouth saw the return of big Darren Moore and Rob Kozluck at the back, and this brought back some of the resiliance missing in previous games, and a much needed clean sheet, helping us record an important home three points, and keep the healthy home form up. If we could just start making it crack abit more consistantly away from home, then the we could well mount our own attack on the play offs in the second half of the season.
Match Preview:
Fourth Placed Burnley host Barnsley at Turf Moor on Boxing Day looking for a fifth Championship victory in six matches, with the Reds providing that only defeat at Oakwell in cold late November mid week clash.
Burnley currently sit fourth in the table while Simon Davey's Tykes have a buffer of seven points above the relegation zone in 17th.
Burnley boss Owen Coyle will check on the fitness of winger Wade Elliott ahead of the home clash.
Elliott missed the 2-1 win at Bristol City on Saturday due to a foot injury and will be looked at ahead of the visit of Barnsley FC.
Kevin McDonald was also out of the Ashton Gate victory through injury and may still be sitting it out as the Clarets seek to enhance their promotion credentials.
Michael Duff, Chris Eagles and Chris McCann all made key contributions to Saturday's victory despite recent niggles and should again make the starting line-up.
Striker Steve Thompson will hope to claim a starting berth after coming off the substitutes' bench to score the winning goal against the Robins.
Barnsley will welcome Hugo Colace back into contention for the match following suspension.
The fast improving Argentine midfielder missed Saturday's 2-0 win over Plymouth, but is should return to the squad at Turf Moor.
Tykes manager Davey must decide whether to start with Colace or stick with defender Bobby Hassell, who switched to central midfield in his absence and did very well.
But Davey is without central defender Dennis Souza, who will be out of the Christmas fixture schedule with a calf injury, while winger Martin Devaney (ankle) is still out with injury.
Darren Moore came back for the Plymouth win and is unscathed after returning from a six-match lay-off last week and will partner Stephen Foster again at the centre of defence.
