Sheffield Weds 0 - Barnsley 1
PREVIEW:
After the sustained period of Arctic conditions around South Yorkshire, the reds take on Sheffield Wednesday this Tuesday following a 3 match lay-off due to the weather... will be glad when its gone! Must admit feel better for having a break before the Wednesday game, as current form at the time was terrible.
And the break at least will allow the Barnsley new boys to bed in a bit within the team.
The new look team is going for the double over our Sheffield neighbours, and to break the Hillsborough Hoodoo, which has lasted well over two decades of meetings between Barnsley FC and the blue and white striped enemy down the A61.
What better place than to get a win to get us on our way in a period of 28 days, in which the reds have a fixture back log of 8 games. That's a game just over every three days for the next month, needless to say this month is going to make or break our season. Lets get in the right course by getting one of the old enemy and doing the double over Wednesday! We need lots of fans to be the twelfth man at Hillsborough on tuesday night. The boys on the pitch will hopefully be fired up to get back to winning ways. If they aren't they shouldn't be on the pitch. I do sometimes wonder that the foreign legion of players don't quite understand the urgency and importance of a win over the Sheffield clubs.
Michael Mifsud and Jamal Campbell Ryce have had some football during the lay-off, with both players on international duty for Malta and Jamaica respectively, both ending in 0-0 draws.

Team News:
Sheffield Wednesday will give a late test to Mark Beevers (ankle). Francis Jeffers is back after a three match suspension.
Defender Lewis Buxton plays his last game before serving a one-match ban.
Barnsley could hand debuts to new signings Michael Mifsud, Andranik Teymourian and Adam Hammill.
Stephen Foster is still out after his groin operation, but good news we have a few back from injuries as Hugo Colace, Diego Leon and Daniel Bogdanovic will all be available after recovering.
