Barnsley FC do the double over 'high flying' Burnley at Turf Moor. The reds beat the promotion hopefuls 3-2 at Oakwell only at the end of November in what was a rip-roaring victory in front of the Sky television cameras. And now they have made it three away wins of the season, denting any promotion hopes Burnley might have had, but further adding to the hopes of Barnsley getting a berth in the play off zone come the end of the season.

Chris McCann scored at both ends of the pitch to gift Barnsley a welcome away day Boxing Day victory at Burnley.

A superb strike from Jamie Cureton, his first goal for the Tykes from the edge of the area, gave Barnsley the early lead after six minutes.

Burnley midfielder McCann converted Robbie Blake's cross to equalise seven minutes before the break.

But McCann went from hero to villain in the 67th minute when he steered a Jamal Campbell-Ryce cross into his own net.
