Filipe Teixeira arrives at Oakwell for initial loan spell.

The reds have completed a loan signing of midfielder Filipe Teixeira from West Brom.

He will initially join the Tykes on a month deal, but there is chance for a permanent deal to be struck.

The former Portugal U21 international will be out of contract with West Brom in the summer and reds boss Mark Robins is keen get a good look at the talented playmaker.

"Filipe is technically a top, top player," Mark Robins told the club's official website.

"He is a playmaker who was instrumental in helping West Brom win promotion a couple of seasons ago."

"He will come here initially for a month, but his contract is up at the end of the season and will give both parties the chance to have a much closer look at each other."

"Filipe needs to play games and if we can get him playing to the top of his ability then he will be a very, very good addition to our squad and will benefit us greatly."

Looks like another ambitious addition to the reds squad, making his debut in the best reds performance of the season against Preston away which the reds won emphatically, 4-1.
